Nurofen // Long-lasting Film

Nurfen Long Lasting targets pain for up to twelve hours. The concept flipped the brief, focussing on the positive and boiled it down to two simple words – ’12 HOURS’ and ‘REFLIEF’ to embody the result of using Nurofen to target the pain.

We shot the TV ad in a huge warehouse in Prague and, on a limited budget, I really wanted as much to be done in camera as possible capture fluid, realistic movements but with a distinct visual style. We covered the floor in shiny PVC, then painted the dancers silver before filming carefully choreographed moves. The result is a timeless piece of film that works as well today as it did when I made it. Simplicity is the key, it’s like a moving poster, with only the essential information used to grab attention.
